A few mouse clicks and you have just turned up the heat to a comfortable setting before you get there. But the ultimate in security is knowing that your Proliphix Internet connected thermostat will notify you at home or the office via email if a fault condition exists. As an example, your thermostat could email you (or your property management company) when it detects that it has called for heat in your mountain home but the heating system has not responded. If conditions persist, the thermostat will then notify you that the temperature in your vacation home has dropped below a predetermined temperature. Having the early warning that catastrophic conditions are imminent allows you to act preemptively to contact your local HVAC contractor. As a final safeguard against low temperature conditions Proliphix Network Thermostats include an integral safety switch which triggers the heating system at or below 43° F which operates even in the absence of power to the thermostat. So if for some reason the thermostats loose power but the heating system has not, the heating system will be cycled to maintain the zone temperature at approximately 43° F.
