THERMAL MANAGEMENT SERIES                          NETWORK THERMOSTATS The Thermal Management (TM) Series of Proliphix Network Thermostats combine all the same sophisticated HVAC and Internet features of our Professional Network Thermostat Series but also include the added capability of independent alarming on two external sensor inputs.  These two inputs can either sense temperature with our standard line of thermistor sensors, or sense the closure of an external relay.  With these additional features the Thermal Management Network Thermostats are best suited for light commercial facilities which require inexpensive remote HVAC management along with refrigeration or freezer monitoring. Internet connectivity and the thermostat’s browser interface offer unprecedented ease of configuration, monitoring and management capabilities at a fraction of the cost of current programmable communicating thermostats and thermal monitoring products.   There are two models within the Thermal Management Series of Network Thermostats; TM220e/h and the TM250e/h.  The suffix designation indicates power options which include either Ethernet Powered ("e") or HVAC powered ("h").  All models support fossil fuel or heat pump HVAC systems. In addition, all models include advanced HVAC control capability.  In addition to the distinctive independent alarming features of both the TM220 and TM250 Network Thermostats, they share identical features except that the TM250 was designed to sense and control relative humidity in a single HVAC zone.  Pre-defined relative humidity limits may trigger dehumidification by forcing on the A/C system  or by triggering a relay to actuate an external dehumidifier. E-mail or text message alarm notifications may also be sent if relative humidity exceeds a pre-defined threshold or falls below a pre-set lower limit.  Thermostat Management Interface The Thermostat Management Interface (TMI) can be accessed on a local network from any computer which has installed an approved Proliphix web browser. Proliphix supports the following web browsers:    • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher on Windows XP, XP Professional    • Mozilla Firefox 1.0 on either Windows XP, XP Professional, MAC Alarm Settings By leveraging the integral web server in every Network Thermostat, Proliphix brings temperature monitoring and contact closure sensing to the end user along with HVAC control.   The ease with which alarm triggers can be set by the user are found on the Alarm Settings (TMI) page. Network Connectivity The TM Series thermostats can be connected to your existing local data network by wiring through a conventional Cat5 and 110 punch-down distribution method.
